From the beginning of 2020, LAMTEC will introduce a new Burner Management Controller to the BT300 family. The BT335 will join the existing line-up of BT320, BT330, BT331, BT340 and BT341.
 
The new variant has been specially developed for use with simple dual-fuel burners. In contrast to the BT340, the BT335 can switch between fuels without using the LCM100 and DFM300 modules. This offers customers a price advantage over the existing BT340 variant.
 
The following is an overview of the most important features:

• Dual-fuel operation oil/gas without LCM100 and DFM300 with limited functions
• Oil operation only by modulation or two-stage
• 3 motorised actuators
• 1 continuous control output 0-10V, 0/4-20mA for variable speed control of the combustion air fan using an optional VSM100 module
• Approved for continuous operation when used with a continuous operation flame sensor 

Compared to the functionality of BT330 or BT340, there are minor restrictions due to the changed terminal assignment.

We understand that ‘Just in Time’ availability is an important factor for some of our customer and make every effort to be able to meet demands. However, fluctuations and external factors in the electronics and metals industries can adversely affect our ability to provide a continuous supply of some products. As a result of a component shortage for flame sensors with the UV1 sensor, delivery delays may occur between 1 November 2019 and 15 February 2020. For urgent requirements during this period, flame sensors with the sensor element UV2 or UV4 can be used. These also cover the detection spectrum of the UV1.
 
In the meantime we will do everything we can to reduce or eliminate this delivery gap. Nevertheless, we consider it necessary to inform you about the options so that you can plan accordingly.

The availability of spare parts is essential for industrial plants. All products have a lifecycle and are eventually withdrawn from sale. As a responsible supplier of furnace equipment, we often make spare parts and repairs possible well beyond the withdrawal date of a product. The continuing supply of spare parts relies on the availability of parts and components and when these become obsolete we are forced to withdraw products completely from our scope of supply. We would therefore like to inform you that we have to withdraw the F150 flame amplifier, which was discontinued on 31/12/2011, completely from sale. In order to supply you with spare parts for existing systems, you have the option of placing a final order by 31/12/2019. We will then have a final batch manufactured according to the orders received.
 
As an alternative to the F150, the F152 is an equivalent flame amplifier/relay flame detector that has all the current certificates and approvals.
 
Please let us know by 31/12/2019 your requirements so we can make a final delivery of the F150 to you.

Investment security is not only an issue for our customers and plant operators, but is also a component of the LAMTEC philosophy. Even though we will keep ETAMATIC and ETAMATIC OEM in our product portfolio for several years, we have decided to discontinue it's "little brother", the automatic burner control FA1, at the end of this year.
 
With the CMS burner module MCC an alternative is available which can take over the function of the FA1 in a more modern, better and more flexible way and in most cases even cheaper.
 
The advantages of the CMS compared to FA1 at a glance:

• Smaller design
• Mounting on top hat rail
• Inputs and outputs can be flexibly assigned
• Input and output voltage with 24 VDC / 115 VAC / 230 VAC freely selectable
• Modbus TCP interface onboard at no extra cost
• Integrated Soft PLC for fail-safe additional function
• Various processes adjustable via parameters 

The FA1 can still be ordered for new plants until the end of the year. After that please order the CMS burner module for new plants.
 
But even after the discontinuation of the FA1, LAMTEC will continue to offer support and spare parts for devices already on the market for a period of 10 years, provided of course that the corresponding components are available on the market.
